Mathew is very detail oriented in his craft.
He dissects your movement pattern to ensure that you're building strength correctly and efficiently. I've had several sessions with him and I always seem to learn some thing.Those bits of corrective information have made a huge impact on my lifts and movement as if I was missing something this whole time. The knowledge he provides you with during each session will translate to everything you do from there on out and it makes you more conscious of not only how you're moving but how to correct it.

My 16 yo son wanted to focus on improving his strength and conditioning for volleyball - vertical jump, strength, explosiveness, etc. I wanted someone who could help him achieve his goals and make sure he was following proper form and technique. I used Yelp to look up a few trainers in our area, contacted three, and went with Matty, and it was absolutely the right decision! Matty listened carefully to our goals, and provided a clear plan as to his recommended approach to get us there. He's passionate and enthusiastic about proper training and form, and explains the mechanics of core movements and how they impact everything we do from sitting to walking. He's personable and engaging, and is able to push and encourage without coddling or using a boot camp mentality. He genuinely cares for his clients, and is always following up and checking in to see how things are going. He also highly encouraged us to try out other trainers to make sure we found the one that was the right fit for us, and he included a free introductory one hour session so we could get to know him and vice versa. My son has seen significant improvements in strength and conditioning since working with Matty over the last 2 months, and we'll be working with him for the foreseeable future.
I have been consistently training with Mathew for a few years and I could go on and on about his level of expertise, his professionalism and his integrity. That aside, I believe that when choosing a personal trainer, it is the results that matter most and Mathew certainly delivers in that area. I am fifty years old and in the best shape of my life and I am achieving goals that seemed impossible. I have so much gratitude for Mathew and the physical transformation that he has helped me achieve.
I have been training with Mathew off and on for several years. He is one of the most genuine, knowledgeable and dedicated people I know. I will preface by saying I never imagined I would invest in a trainer. I was under the belief that I could teach myself everything I needed to know. After a slump in my progress in the weight room I looked to Mathew for help and have been blown away by the results. Not only am I stronger, but I'm smarter due to Mathews help. I decided to invest in a personal trainer and it has been one of the best decisions I could have made. Mathew provides functional training customized to my age and abilities. I had no idea I'd enjoy lifting weights and challenging myself to greater performance at that! Mathew seems to see strengths in us that we don't know we have. I feel stronger than I ever have and I'm in that age group that is typically losing strength. I am complimented on losing weight and how great I look and the scale hasn't moved more than 10 lbs.

I had been training for about 5 years before I decided to train with Mathew (mind you, I thought I had it all down) and come to find out that I hadn't been doing most of those exercises with the proper form. I've come to learn the proper movement patterns to prevent injury and now I feel muscles that I never even knew were there!
I can actually active my glutes and lift more than I could before!
Mathew is professional and very knowledgeable with his physical therapy background. He does not only give you a workout but he also educates you on what you should be feeling and how that is going to help the rest of your body.

I've been going to Mathew for a year now and I could not be happier with the progress I have made! As a college tennis player we really focus a lot on core, overall strength, and a lot of rotational strength as well. I just came off ITA finals and I am headed to nationals. I truly believe Mathew and his approach to training has helped developed me into a better player and athlete!!
